
Academic Support Services Office (Academic Complex 101) - The Director of Academic Support Services supports students with academic advising issues, registration issues, requests for withdrawal or leave of absence, and any other issues related to their academic success at Millsaps. Students who need assistance with locating the support they need should start with this office. The director is Ms. Janet Langley (601-974-1134).
Academic Advisors - Each new student is assigned to an academic advisor - either freshman or transfer advisor - upon their enrollment at Millsaps. After they file a formal declaration of major, they are assigned to an advisor in their major area/s. The Director of Academic Advising is Dr. Donald Schwartz (601-974-1368).
ADA Services for Students with Disabilities (Campbell Student Center 308) - The Director of ADA Services supports students with documented disabilities to receive reasonable accommodations to facilitate their academic success. The director is Mr. Patrick Cooper (601-974-1228).
Career Center (Campbell Student Center, 3rd floor) - The staff of the Career Center supports the choice of major and future career paths related to academic study. The director is Ms. Tonya Nations (601-974-1346).
Counseling & Wellness Services (Campbell Student Center 338) - The Director of ADA Services supports students with documented disabilities to receive reasonable accommodations to facilitate their academic success. An appointment with a counselor may be set by contacting Carol Hammond (601-974-1206).
Faculty - Faculty members are generally available for additional academic support to students both in the classroom and during regular office hours. Appointments may be made by speaking with your professors personally or by e-mailing them for a convenient time to meet.
Library - The Millsaps-Wilson Library provides a wealth of academic resources and study areas. The staff of the library is also available to assist students with academic research and securing inter-library resources. The College Librarian is Mr. Thomas Henderson (601-974-1070).
Records Office - The mission of the Records Office is to assist with the administration of academic programs and to serve as a liaison with the faculty and as a service office for students. The Records Office coordinates academic activities including but not limited to course registration, creation, maintenance, and protection of academic records, certification of students for continued enrollment and for graduation, and official transcripts. The office maintains, interprets, and monitors academic policy and communicates procedures to the faculty, students, and the college's other constituents.
Writing Center -The Writing Center, staffed by peer writing tutors, is located in John Stone Hall. Writing Center hours are Sunday thru Thursday 7-10 p.m., and Monday thru Thursday, 3-6 p.m. Student writing tutors are also available for the following hours in the Library: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday 7-10 p.m. They are available in Franklin Hall on Sundays 7-10 p.m. Director of the Writing Program is Dr. Anita DeRouen (601-974-1296).
Information Technology Services - ITS provides network, computer, and telecommunications support for the entire Millsaps campus. This includes network hardware and software, desktop hardware and software, campus networking, email, wireless connectivity, and more. Several branches within ITS are structured to handle specific needs of the Millsaps community.
