Application Options and Instructions for International Students

 

Millsaps College offers merit-based scholarships to international students based on a composite review of their application for admission.

Millsaps College offers partial tuition scholarships. In addition, there are two highly competitive full scholarships, which cover tuition, fees, room, board, and books. These awards do not cover travel or estimated personal expenses.

To be accepted for admission and consideration for merit-based international student scholarships, you must submit a completed application for admission by the appropriate deadline (see below).

A completed Millsaps College Application for Admission for international students includes:

  • Application for Admission: you may complete the Common Application either online or by downloading and printing the forms.
  • School Report (to be completed by secondary counselor).
  • Two Teacher Evaluations (to be completed by student and teachers).
  • Official copy of your secondary school transcript in the original language with an official English translation.
  • Standardized test scores - Official TOEFL or IELTS scores (if English is the native language the TOEFL/IELTS requirement may be waived). Scores appearing on official high school transcripts will be accepted as official.  For students whose first language is not English, Millsaps requires a minimum score of 80 on the iBT TOEFL, 220 on the computer-based TOEFL, or 550 on the paper-based TOEFL.  In lieu of the TOEFL exam, students may submit IELTS scores of band 6.5 or higher.
  • Transfers students should submit transcripts for each college they have attended in the original language with an official English translation.
  • Essay (250-500 words).
  • Financial Documentation (PDF - print and complete).
